Three-week course brought to by Aubergine Belly Dance, Nina Amaya! $45 is for all three classes. Warm up, increase core strength, learn the posture, authentic movements, and cultural background for belly dance. Whether you want to move for the joy of it, express yourself through movement, perform this artistic, expressive dance form, or add grace and strength to your body, you are welcome! All genders, most ages. Wine at the vineyard can be bought and enjoyed by adult friends and dancers If the weather is nice, the class will be outside
We are always looking for dancers to join our troupe or to be a guest in shows, too, from beginners to professionals, depending on the show. Brinjal is our band, and they and Aubergine Belly Dance mostly perform at Faerie Festivals and Renaissance Festivals, and we do play and dance at theaters and restaurants, too. An easy place to perform for the first time is at a senior living center or a student show.
If you have special needs, let Nina know!
Nina Amaya has been Studying Middle Eastern Dance since 1997, performing and teaching it since 2005. She and her troupe Aubergine have performed at Artscape, Faerie Festivals, Light City Baltimore, the Creative Alliance…. and we came back in 2022 at the Baltimore Faerie Faire, May Day Festival at Marshy Point, Royal Rabbit Fairy Market, Enchanted Fairy Festival in York…. we also have educational and entertaining shows for schools and senior centers.
Private lessons are available now. Individual workshops can be scheduled, or teaching parties
There is another session starting up at the beginning of May. More information on that soon. The fee is $20 and the classes are run by Nina Amaya, an instructor who has studied and danced professionally for 20+ years and will be performing at our Fairy Market on Mother’s Day.
